RES, known locally in Scandinavia as Nordisk Vindkraft, has completed the sale of the Ängersjökölen and Sandtjärnberget wind projects in the County of Härjedalen, Sweden, to Spanish Power.
The two projects have been developed by RES and the environmental permit for the project came into force in 2014, with an additional update in 2016. Spanish Power has now acquired the assets and will take the projects further towards construction. RES has a large portfolio of wind farm projects under development in Sweden and Norway and foresees exponential growth for wind power in Scandinavia.
The 18 MW Sandtjärnberget wind farm is located about 25 km east of Sveg, in Härjedalen municipality, Jämtlands County in Sweden. The facility consists of five 3.5-MW wind turbines.
