Rengo Co., Ltd., through its consolidated subsidiary, TRICOR Packaging & Logistics AG, has started the construction of the 5.6 MW solar photovoltaic expansion project located in Bad Wörishofen of Bavaria State in the southern part of Germany.
The facility will consist of 14,000 solar panels once the construction is completed. The solar power generation system is expected to run in the second half of 2023 and be able to reduce more than a thousand tons of CO2 emissions per annum.
The installation of the large-scale solar power generation system matches Germany’s environmental policy which encourages the utilization of renewable energy and also aligns with Rengo’s Eco Challenge 2030 target to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% compared to FY2013.
