Qair has announced the commissioning of its first fully developed 8.2 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) farm located in the Marrubiù industrial estate in the Province of Oristano, Sardinia, Italy.
The Marrubiù solar power plant received authorization in September 2021, with construction beginning in June 2023. Situated on municipal land, the project will provide the municipality with annual rental income for 30 years, contributing significantly to the local economy. Qair's comprehensive approach, encompassing development, financing, construction, and operations, guarantees efficiency and long-term sustainability throughout the project's lifecycle.
The 8.2 MWp facility is projected to produce 12.7 GWh of renewable energy each year, sufficient to meet the annual consumption of 3,000 households while preventing approximately 350 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
