Qair secured financial close for the 46 MWp Brecks Solar Farm in partnership with its financing stakeholders in Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom, enabling the project to move into the construction phase.
The 46.51 MWp solar project has secured support under the UK government's Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, ensuring stable revenues for a period of 20 years. Construction is scheduled to commence in June 2026, with the facility expected to enter commercial operation in Q2 of 2027. Upon completion, the solar farm is projected to produce enough renewable electricity to meet the annual power needs of more than 15,000 households.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for the developer, highlighting its capability to successfully deliver renewable energy projects in the UK. It also strengthens the company's position as it advances its approximately 1 GW pipeline of renewable energy developments across the country.
After acquiring Green Switch Capital in 2024, Qair expanded its presence in the UK renewable energy sector and is now advancing a development pipeline exceeding 5 GW across solar power, battery energy storage systems, and onshore wind projects. The portfolio also features the 1 GW Ayre offshore wind development, which secured seabed rights through the ScotWind leasing programme.
