PPA signed for 310 MW Solar PV project in USA

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA has signed a renewable power purchase agreement with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC for the 310 MW INEOS Hickerson Solar Farm project in north-central Texas, USA.

The new solar park is expected to cover the net purchased electricity load of all 14 INEOS O&P USA manufacturing, fractionation, and storage facilities. The PV farm will produce 730,000 MWh of renewable energy per year, enough to power over 68,000 homes, and eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by over 320,000 tons.

The INEOS Hickerson Solar Farm is anticipated to be constructed in Q1 of 2024 and is planned to be operational by December 2025.
