Longroad Energy to start construction of 152 MWdc solar PV project in USA

Longroad Energy Holdings LLC has completed the financing and begun construction on its 152 MWdc Three Corners solar project in Maine, USA.

The 690 ac facility uses Series 6 and 6+ modules supplied by First Solar, single-axis trackers from Nextracker and inverters from Power Electronics. Expected to be completed in late 2023 or early 2024, the US$200 million solar farm will sell 100% of its output to EDF Energy Services under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).

US Bank was the sole investor in tax equity for the project, while KeyBanc Capital Markets was the coordinating lead arranger.
