Canada’s Pieridae Energy has entered into an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell for the sale of oil and gas midstream and upstream assets in the southern Alberta Foothills, Canada.
Pieridae will acquire assets that produce up to 29,000 barrels of natural gas, natural gas liquids, and condensate. The deal also includes the sale of three sour gas plants. The closing of CAD190 million (US$145.1 million) transaction enables Pieridae to secure the remaining supply needed for the first phase of its proposed Gooldboro LNG plant in Nova Scotia. If it goes ahead, Goldboro will be Canada’s first east coast LNG project.
