Pattern Energy completes sale of 90 MW minority stake in K2 wind project

Pattern Energy Group Inc. and Capital Power have announced the completed sale of 90 megawatt minority owned interest in the 270 MW K2 wind power facility in Ontario for a purchase price of CAD$216 million (US$160 million), to a consortium of investors led by Axium Infrastructure. The transaction closed on December 31, 2018.

Pattern Energy will record a pretax gain of approximately US$71 million on the sale.

Located in the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, Ontario, the wind facility is comprised of 140 Siemens SWT-2.3 101 wind turbines.
