Emera Energy has sold its 280 MW Bayside power plant located in Saint John, New Brunswick to New Brunswick Power (NB Power). Emera did not retain advisers for the deal. In 2017, the facility underwent major repairs including replacement of turbines. The project is the last closed-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) of Emera.

NB Power paid US$34.2 million for the plant. The company has been buying the power output of the facility under PPA that will expire in 2021.
