Capital Power Corporation is a North American power producing company. The Company develops, acquires, owns, and operates power generation from a range of energy sources. The Company is engaged in the operation of electrical generation facilities within Canada, including Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, and in the United States, including North Carolina, Arizona, Alabama, New Mexico, Kansas, Texas, North Dakota, and Illinois. It builds, owns, and operates utility-scale generation facilities that include renewables such as wind, solar, and waste heat, and thermal such as natural gas and coal. It owns over 6,400 megawatts (MW) of power generation capacity at approximately 26 facilities across North America. In addition, approximately 425 MW of owned renewable generation capacity in North Carolina and Alberta. Its facilities include Genesee 1, 2, and 3, Clover Bar Landfill Gas, Clover Bar Energy Centre, Whitla 1.
