OSMI Australia is set to build its 300 MW wind project in the region of Latrobe Valley in Victoria.
With an investment of about AUD500 million (US$357.36 million), the facility will be equipped with 53 wind turbines of height about 250 metres (820 ft). The Latrobe City will house 43 of the machines while Baw Baw and South Gippsland will hose three to five machines each.
The project can generate up to 980,000 GWh of electricity annually enough for the consumption of 200,000 homes. It is expected that the project will be operational by 2022.
