Aqua Aerem and Osaka Gas have signed a joint development agreement for the 10 GW Desert Bloom Hydrogen project in Northern Australia.
Osaka Gas will contribute to the project by providing project management, engineering and technical support, marketing and sales of hydrogen produced, as well as negotiating with equipment manufacturers.
The US$10.75 billion Desert Bloom Hydrogen facility is scheduled for construction in 2022, while the commercial production of green hydrogen is expected to launch in 2023. The plant will produce 410,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year when it reaches full capacity.
