Ørsted A/S, Denmark, has taken a final investment decision on the Greater Changhua 1 and 2 wind projects in Taiwan. The projects are offshore wind facilities with total power output of 900 MW. The facilities are enough to generate electricity for around 1 million households.
The PPA was signed with Taipower at the end of January. The supply chain plan of the projects is also approved by the government. The initial work for the project will commence this month.
The company expects to complete the projects in 2021 and 2022.
