Ørsted SA has commissioned the 752 MW Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm located off the coast of the province of Zeeland, in the south-west of the Netherlands.
The project features 94 units of Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines built about 23 kilometers (14.3 miles) off the coast of Zeeland. The construction of the project was started in January 2020 with the first turbine installed in April 2020.
The project is capable to supply energy enough for about one million homes.
