Nordex SE, German wind turbine maker, received a follow-up order to supply 24 turbines of the AW132/3465 model for the Vientos Neuquinos wind facility. The order came from AES Corporation, a US-based power producer.
The offshore wind farm is located in the province of Neuquen, southwestern Argentina. The project has a capacity of 83 MW, installed in a 120-meter concrete towers.
Nordex said that the wind turbines will be produced locally. The company was contracted by AES Generacion S.A. to service the turbines for a minimum of 2 years.
Nordex has now an installed wind power capacity of more than 23 GW in over 25 markets. The company is generating sales of around €3.1 billion in 2017.
