Nikola Corporation and Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the co-development of large-scale US green hydrogen generation projects and collaborate on their construction.
Nikola, a possible offtaker with a high need for green hydrogen to decarbonize the transportation industry and other industries, will support the supply of green hydrogen for any potential projects.
Under the provisions of the MOU, Nikola will explore prospects for green hydrogen offtake from any other green hydrogen projects pursued by FFI. Additionally, the parties will analyze the possibility of co-developing new green hydrogen production and associated infrastructure projects.
