Neoen has started the commercial operation of the 404 MW Mutkalampi wind farm located in Central and Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland.
The project has secured a long-term corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with Philips, Heineken, Nobian, and Signify. The commissioning of the plant came after the statements released by members of a pan-European consortium that has a 126 MW Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) in place for the plant.
The wind farm consists of 69 wind turbines with operating capacities of 4.3 Mw and 6 MW. The project achieved a financial close in April 2021.
