Neoen SA has completed the installation of all photovoltaic (PV) modules at the Western Downs Green Power Hub, a massive 400 MW solar project in Queensland, Australia. This farm is Australia's largest, and its final testing and commissioning phase is now underway at full capacity. The solar park comprises over 1 million panels and presently delivers over 350 MW to the Queensland SuperGrid.
CleanCo has a deal with Neoen SA to offtake 80% of the energy generated by the Western Downs Green Power Hub. This will assist Queensland in reaching its target of generating 70% renewable energy by 2032, as part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan.
According to CleanCo CEO Tom Metcalfe, "The renewable energy generated by the Western Downs Green Power Hub will supply some of CleanCo's biggest customers."
