BHP, through Cleanco, has agreed to a 5-year offtake of power from Neoen's Western Downs Green Power Hub in Queensland, Australia. The power will supply BHP's coal mining operations in the area.
The 400 MWp project will generate around 1,080 GWh of electricity annually, equal to the consumption of about 235,000 local homes. The site also holds up to 150 MW battery energy storage potential.
