Singapore-based Nexif Energy has submitted an application to the South Australian for the planned 252 MW expansion to the 212 MW Lincoln Gap wind farm project.
The proposed expansion involves the construction of up to 42 wind turbines a maximum height of 206 meters and more storage capacities. The exact turbine model is not yet determined as of the filing.
The developers also seek to build an overhead connection infrastructure, a substation, and a battery energy storage and/or synchronous condenser unit. The 10 MW energy storage system supplied by Fluence will be integrated into the expansion complex. The expansion plan will be the third phase of the Lincoln Gap wind project.
