Muirhall Energy has started the commercial operation of its Crossdykes Wind Farm project located Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
Through ownership of 5% of the project, local communities will benefit from a share of the wind farm’s profits each year in addition to an industry-leading community benefits package. This ownership stake is the largest community investment in renewables since 2017 and the first time in Scotland that a community has bought into a subsidy-free wind farm.
The facility features ten N133/4.8 turbines with a hub height of 176.5 meters located 13 kilometers to the northeast of Lockerbie. It supplies 44,792 households with clean electricity.
