Mitsubishi Corp has completed the acquisition of a 24% stake in a 600 MW onshore wind farm project located in the provinces of Sekong and Attapeu in southern Laos.
Once the project becomes operational, it will sell its generated power to Vietnam's state-owned Vietnam Electricity over 25 years through a dedicated power transmission line. It is expected to become online by 2025.
Mitsubishi is now partnering with BCPG PCL and Earth Power Investment Ltd in the development of the project.
