BCPG Plc, a renewable energy arm of Bangchak Corporation Plc, has planned to invest in the 600 MW Swan wind farm in Laos. The company is acquiring a 45% stake in the project worth US$840 million. Impact Electrons Siam owns the remaining 55% controlling interest.
Swan wind project will be developed near the Mekong River across Ubon Ratchathani. It is expected to operate by 2023.
Electricity from the wind farm will be sold to Vietnam’s state-run Electricity Vietnam (EVN).
