Minderoo to invest in 100 MW solar project of Sun Brilliance

Minderoo Group, through its renewable energy unit Squadron Energy, is set to invest in the 100 MW solar photovoltaic project of Sun Brilliance.

The AUD130 million (US$97 million) solar project has faced difficulties related to the project's financing and connection after the insolvency of solar farm construction firm RCR Tomlinson. The investment of Minderoo is dependent on the solar project securing network connection. 

The construction is set to begin in March with the commissioning expected to be done by the end of 2020.
