MHPS receives parts management & service contract for the Germencik geothermal project

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Ltd (MHPS) has received an order for long-term parts management and services for the 47.5 MW Germencik geothermal power plant in Turkey. With initial terms of seven years, the contract was awarded by Gurmat Electric Generation Co In.

During the development of the facility, MHPS supplied the steam turbines for both units of the project, while the generators were produced by Mitsubishi Electric Corp. MHPS' scope under the new agreement covers supporting parts management and services at the Germencik plant, including the dispatch of engineers.

The two units of the plant were put on operational in 2009 and 2015.
