The Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy, Masen, has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for the pre-qualification in the 400 MW solar photovoltaic project tender.
The tender involves the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Phase II of the Noor Midelt solar PV project located in Morocco’s central north-west region. The solar plant will be built across several locations that include Boujdour 2, Laayoune 2, Taroudant, Kelaa des Sraghna, Sidi Bennour, Bejaad, Lhajeb, Guercif, and Ain Beni Mathar. Masen will provide necessary infrastructures for the interconnection of the solar plants.
The Phase II project is part of the 800 MW Noor Midelt solar complex that is partly financed by the World Bank.
The deadline for the submission of interests is on February 28, 2020.
