Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC, also known as Masdar, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Indonesian state-owned power utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for the energy produced of the planned 145 MW floating solar photovoltaic plant in West Java.
The solar project will be built on a 225-hectare plot of the 6200-hectare Cirata Reservoir, in the West Java region, Indonesia. Masdar will be developing the project in partnership with PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PT PJB), a subsidiary of PLN.
The project is expected to be operational by 2022.
