Mainstream Renewable Power has been awarded environment approval from Chile's Environmental Evaluation Service (SEA) of the Environmental Impact Evaluation for its planned 153 MW Puelche Sur wind project located in Los Lagos region.
The facility will consist of 51 wind turbines installed on over 3,000 ha of land area enough to generate power for the consumption of about 180,000 homes annually. It will be connected to the National Electric System (SEN) through an elevating substation and an electric transmission line of approximately 10 km.
