Lietuvos Energija has completed the purchase of all shares and claim rights in Pomerania Invall Sp from the Spanish company IGE.
The company provided its subsidiary Lietuvos energija renewables a EUR44 million (US$49.2 million) loan to finance further renewable investments and to close the transaction.
Pomerania Invall is developing a 94 MW wind farm in Poland. The facility will be powered by 28 units of N131/3600 turbines and one N117/3000 machine manufactured by Nordex.
Construction of the wind scheme is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2019. The project is anticipated to enter operations in 2021.
Lietuvos Energija plans to invest EUR127 million (US$142 million) in the Pomerania project, which won a 15-year guaranteed tariff in Poland's auction for renewable energy projects.
IGE is owned by environmental impact fund SI Capital.
