Kansai Electric Power Co Inc, through its unit KPIC Netherlands BV, has entered into an agreement with Glennmont Partners to acquire a 15% stake in the 211.4 MW Piiparinmaki wind farm project located in central Finland.
The deal is acquired from Glennmont Clean Energy Fund III Wind BV, the owner of Ilmatar Piiparinmaki Oy which is the special purpose vehicle (SPV) company for the wind project.
The Piiparinmaki wind project is located in Kainuu region of Finland. It consists of 41 wind turbines.
Eversheds acted as the legal advisor on the transaction for Glennmont and Ashurst acted as the legal advisor for Kansai.
