K-water awards 41 MW floating solar PV project development to Hanwha Q Cells

Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) has awarded Hanwha Q Cells the contract for the development of a 41 MW floating solar farm in Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

The project will be using Hanwha Q Cells Q.Peak Duo Poseidon solar PV modules specifically made for floating solar parks. It is expected to generate enough energy for the consumption of up to 60,000 homes annually.

The construction of the project is planned to start before the end of 2020.
