juwi has announced that it was successful in Germany's Federal Network Agency's fourth onshore wind tender. The company secured awards for projects in Beelitz (Brandenburg) near Potsdam and Krackow (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) at the German-Polish border, and two projects in Freisen (Saarland) near St. Wendel.
As a result, juwi has already been successful this year with 15 wind energy projects with a total output of over 130 MW.
In total, the Federal Network Agency awarded 670 MW of onshore wind capacity in the latest bidding round. At EUR0.0626 (US$0.0715) per kilowatt hour, the average auction price was only slightly below the maximum bid of EUR0.063 (US$0.072) per kilowatt hour.
