Japan Renewable Energy (JRE) has completed the 24.4 MW biomass project in Ibaraki prefecture.
Located in Kamisu, the power plant uses construction recycled and forestry materials as fuel, generating 200 million kWh of power annually.
The JRE Kamisu Biomass Power Plant will be powering some 45,000 local households through TEPCO Power Grid Inc, a unit of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc.
