British electrolyser manufacturer ITM Power Plc has sealed a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for a multi-megawatt electrolytic hydrogen project in the UK, which is among the shortlisted in the UK’s Second Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR2).
The FEED, signed with an unnamed customer, is based on multiple units of the company’s NEPTUNE V plug-and-play 5-MW containerised electrolyser systems. The project, which still hinges on a final investment decision (FID), is expected to become operational in 2028. Set up in 2000, ITM Power makes electrolysers based on proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology.
The FEED is based on multiple NEPTUNE V units, our 5MW containerised green hydrogen plant. The project remains subject to a Final Investment Decision (FID). Our customer expects the plant to be operational in 2028.
