The New York Siting Board has granted a certificate of environmental compatibility and public need development approval to the 340 MW Alle-Catt wind farm project proposed by Invenergy.
Alle-Catt Wind Energy LLC, a unit of Invenergy, will build the project in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Wyoming counties. It requires an estimated investment of about US$454 million.
The project is expected to consist of 116 turbines installed in about 30,000 acres of private land. Its commissioning is expected to be done before the end of 2022.
