ScottishPower Renewables has awarded DNV a three-year contract to provide integrated inspection services on the 1400 MW East Anglia 3 project situated off the coast of Suffolk, England.
The project is comprised of 95 units of 14.7 MW wind turbines, up to four offshore collector stations, and up to two offshore converter station platforms, as well as up to four interconnector cables linking the wind farm to the East Anglia ONE zone.
Under the terms of the agreement, DNV will perform a comprehensive array of services, encompassing site inspection, vendor inspection, and quality management services at project and vendor sites worldwide until 2026. East Anglia 3, scheduled to become operational in 2026, is poised to become the world's second-largest wind farm. The wind farm is anticipated to produce a sufficient amount of green electricity to meet the needs of over one million homes.
