Ignitis Group awarded grid connection for 252 MW solar project in Jonava

Ignitis Group, through its subsidiary Ignitis Renewables Projektai, has been awarded a grid connection capacity by domestic transmission system operator Litgrid AB for its 252 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Jonava, Lithuania. 

The project has an estimated total investment of EUR200 million (US$200.29 million). The final investment decision for the project is expected to be concluded once the final permit from the National Energy Regulatory Council (NERC) is secured. 

The solar farm is targeted for commercial operation by 2025 and will operate under market conditions.
