BaltCap Infrastructure Fund has begun work on a 30 MW wind project in the town of Zvirgzdaiciai in Lithuania’s Sakiai district. The EUR42 million (US$45 million) wind project comprises six wind turbines with a 5.5 MW capacity for each turbine.
The project will be funded by a EUR15 million (US$16 million) investment from BaltCap and a EUR27 million (US$29 million) credit from Luminor bank.
The project is expected to begin operation in the second quarter of 2023.
