In the Volga region of Astrakhan, the second phase of the solar power station “Niva” - Funtovskaya SES with a capacity of 60 MW was commissioned. Starting January 1, 2019, the new station will begin to supply electricity to the network.
Located in south-west Russia, the project is being developed in two stages, entailing solar photovoltaic power plants with 15 MW and 60 MW generation capacity. The total estimated annual electricity generation is 110 GWh, which will avoid 58 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emissions and save 33 million cubic meters of natural gas. The first phase of the project was commissioned on May 1, 2018.
The rights to build the facilities were obtained by Hevel group of companies after the acquisition of a solar project portfolio in the summer of 2017.
