GreenPower is currently in the process of seeking approval for a proposed 66 MW wind energy site in Argyll, Scotland. Barachander, the sister wind project will be built near the existing Carraig Gheal wind farm. The developer submitted a scoping report to stakeholders and the Scottish government, and preliminary information about the project has been dispersed to the public. Upon receiving consent, GreenPower plans to erect approximately 11 wind turbines at the site, each with a proposed tip height of 180 m.

The planning application for the Barachander wind energy site will be filed early in 2024, following thorough public and statutory consultation, environmental assessment, and other relevant processes. In addition to providing essential power to the grid, GreenPower is committed to supplying GBP5,000 (US$6,410) per MW of installed generating capacity annually to a community benefit fund, in line with current Scottish government guidelines.

The company's vision also includes incorporating a battery system on the site, which will provide energy stability act as a short-term reserve service and potentially provide services for the National Grid.
