Greencoat UK Wind Plc, a unit of Greencoat Capital, has completed the acquisition of the majority stake in the 39.1 MW Tom nan Clach wind farm in Scotland.
Greencoat has acquired 75% stake in the plant from Belltown Power for a total consideration of GBP126 million (US$158 million) which includes prepaying GBP57 million (US$71 million) of project finance debt and the remaining GBP19 million(US$24 million).
The project has entered into operation on May 7, 2019. It comprises of 13 units of Vestas’ V112 turbines and has a forecast net load factor of 48%. The facility has a 15-year contract for difference (CfD) at GBP92.80 (US$116.38) per MWh.
