The 45 MW Mudejar I solar project in Teruel, Spain was declared a regional interest by the government of Aragon. The declaration means that all administrative procedures related to fast-track the approval of the project be observed.
The Sociedad Anonima Minera Catalano-Aragonesa (Grupo SAMCA) via Monegros Solar SA, a local company and developer of the project plans to invest EUR 25 million (US$28.49 million) for the development.
The project can produce 85 GWh of electricity per year. It can produce 250 jobs and 25 permanent positions.
