Genex Power has signed an agreement with network operator Powerlink to connect its 50 MW/75 MWh battery storage system in North Queensland.
The battery storage project will be built in Bouldercombe, with a view to entering the market for energy arbitrage and Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) by the end of 2021.
Following a competitive tender process, Genex has already selected a preferred battery supplier and integrator for the project.
