General Motors has signed a power purchase agreement for a 180 MW solar project located in Arkansas, developed by First Solar, Inc.
The power purchase agreement will supply three GM sites in the Midwest: Wentzville Assembly in Missouri and Michigan’s Lansing Delta Township Assembly will be fully powered by solar energy, and the remaining power will be allocated to Lansing Grand River Assembly.
The project features PV modules by First Solar and generates enough power to supply about 47,500 homes per year. It is expected to become operational in 2023.
