GE Renewable Energy has secured a contract to supply, commission, and maintain a 27.2 MW onshore wind project in Vietnam.
The Phuoc Minh wind farm project will be located in Ninh Thuan province in the south-central region of Vietnam. The facility will consist of eight 3 MW-137 GE wind turbines. The turbine rotor diameters will be up to 137 meters.
The order was placed by the consortium of Henste Engineering, IPC Group, and PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation that secures the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the project. GE will also serve as the operation and maintenance (O&M) provider for the wind farm under a 10-year contract.
The project is being developed by Phuoc Minh Wind Power Company Ltd. The commercial operation is slated by the third quarter of 2021.
