State-owned GAIL Ltd is planning to develop one of India's largest proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers in Madhya Pradesh to produce green hydrogen supporting its natural gas industry.
GAIL and its undisclosed partner will build the PEM-based project in Guna, which will produce 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day (approximately 10 MW capacity) and be mixed in with natural gas for sale.
The plant is expected to be operational by November 2023.
