The subsidiary of NTPC Limited, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd., has launched tender inviting bidders to develop an ISTS-connected 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project located in the state of Rajasthan in India.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, and commissioning of the grid-connected BESS project near Fatehgarh-III ISTS substation. The project should have a useful life of 12 years after being commissioned. The developers will carry out a comprehensive operation and maintenance for the project that includes battery replacement and disposal.
