Flughafen Wien has started the commercial operation of the 24 MWp solar photovoltaic project that would provide the power requirement of the Vienna International Airport in Austria.
The project is constructed on about 24 hectares of land area and consists of up to 55,000 solar panels. The facility is planned for a 7 MWp expansion by the end of 2022 to ensure a steady supply in case of unfavorable weather conditions.
