The Tennessee Valley Authority has selected First Solar and Origis Energy to develop and deliver the 212 MWac of solar power to fulfill commitments for the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB).
TVA has entered into a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the 177 MWac Ridgely Energy Farm in Lake County, Tennessee developed by First Solar, Inc.
TVA has also contracted Origis Energy to develop a 200 MWac solar site in Lowndes County, Mississipi for TVA. 35 MWac of this facility will support KUB’s Green Invest purchase.
