Aura Power has secured financing for its 30MW Rayleigh Solar Farm in Essex, marking the fourth project in its UK portfolio to enter the construction phase within the past year. Announced on October 14, 2025, the financial close was supported by senior debt from Rabobank, a partner in three other Aura Power solar projects currently under construction: Kemble, Burtree Lane, and Grimsby. The Rayleigh Solar Farm, backed by a Contract for Difference (CfD) from Allocation Round 6, ensures revenue stability while contributing to the UK’s decarbonization goals. Once operational, it will generate clean electricity to power over 11,000 homes annually and reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 13,000 tonnes each year. The project also prioritizes environmental sustainability, achieving a biodiversity net gain of over 130% through extensive landscaping and habitat enhancements. Construction is set to begin with preparatory works in November 2025, followed by full-scale development in February 2026, led by Aura Power’s EPC and joint venture partner, ib vogt. With this project, Aura Power advances its 242 MWp of UK projects under construction, reinforcing its role as a leading independent renewables developer. The financing was facilitated by legal advisors Burges Salmon, with support from Rabobank and Investec, highlighting strong partnerships driving the UK’s renewable energy transition.
